What an online session needs
A reliable internet connection, a device large enough to see the question and working, and a way for the student to write mathematics. The exact meeting setup is confirmed when booking; no special platform is promised on this page.
A useful first message
Include the student’s course code, current unit, what is coming next, and one example of the difficulty. A photo or PDF of relevant work can help when it is safe and appropriate to share.
What tutoring can and cannot do
Tutoring can explain, diagnose a gap, structure practice, and help a student become more independent. It cannot guarantee a mark or admission outcome, replace attendance, complete a graded assessment for the student, or override the teacher’s course policies.
