What is already included

• A skip-to-content link and semantic headings/navigation.

• System reduced-motion support plus a Math101 motion setting and calm mode.
• Light/dark themes and non-colour labels for important states.

Known limitations

The generated SVG descriptions explain each diagram’s essential relationship, but complex mathematics can still be cognitively dense when presented non-visually. The canvas Graphing Lab does not yet provide a fully equivalent tactile or sonified graph experience. Automated structure checks, representative raster review, and keyboard tests do not replace testing with screen-reader users and disabled learners. Generated worksheets and complex equations can behave differently across browsers and assistive technology.

Using the settings

Open Settings from the footer to disable success sound, turn off celebration motion, or enable calm mode. Browser zoom and operating-system text/contrast settings should remain usable. Lesson labs have labelled native controls and do not require dragging. Printing produces a simplified layout without menus and most controls while preserving the diagram and its caption.

Requesting another format

For tutoring or a specific Math101 resource, explain the page, barrier, device or assistive technology, and preferred alternative. Do not include medical documents in ordinary email. A useful response may be a tagged document, plain-text explanation, larger print, alternate practice format, data table, or a live verbal/visual walkthrough.

Testing commitment

Before a major public launch, Math101 should complete automated accessibility scans, keyboard-only testing, zoom/reflow testing, colour-contrast review, screen-reader testing on key journeys, and testing with users who rely on accommodations. Findings should become tracked fixes rather than a one-time badge.
